There are 80 questions in the OAR Test.
The OAR test is between 1.5 and 2 hours in length.
40 to 60 is the average score for applicants completing an OAR test.
Some people believe the ASVAB is simpler than the OAR. For instance, OAR exams frequently assess college-level Math.
The OAR test includes three subtests: math skills ( 30 questions), Reading Comprehension( 20 questions) and Mechanical Comprehension ( 30 questions). The reading comprehension part tests your ability to extract meanings from passages, while the Mechanical and Math segments test your college-level physics and math.
You can take three attempts to qualify for the OAR exam. However, a waiting period of 31 days is essential before the next attempt. Practice diligently because, unlike most tests, the OAR exam considers recent scores and not the highest scores.
The OAR test, which is a subset of the ASTB-E test, determines your eligibility for the officer training program and not for the Officer position; Therefore, upon passing the test, you must undergo officer training before becoming an officer.
Although not very difficult, the test is quite challenging because it is computer adaptive. This means, the more correct answers you give, the more difficult the following questions will be. Moreover, calculators are not allowed; hence the math part could be demanding.
