ABOUT COURSE | Top 10 Queries

    What is concept of Agile?

Agile is a time boxed, iterative approach to project delivery that builds project incrementally from the start of the project, instead of trying to deliver it all at once near the end. It works by breaking projects down into little bits of user functionality called user stories, prioritising them, and then continuously delivering them in short periodic cycles called iterations.

    How is Agile different?

Agile is different from traditional view as in traditional view you develop and deliver complete in one go. But in Agile its iterative development, it evolves as you go. It follows adaptive planning which means it’s easier to change plans as its short planning for user stories. Teams in Agile does not have relevance of designations - its all to make project successful (however core competencies are retained and respected). Scope change in Agile is easy to adopt as teams are responsible to maintain integrity of their plan. Requirement change vs the cost of adopting the change is known to be less and get stable in agile over period of time. Working model is the primary measure of success

    About Agile Modelling

In today’s fast changing environment Agile Modelling(AM) holds flexibility over traditional modelling methods. Riding on principals of Just Barely Good Enough (JBGE) artifacts, which means a document needs to be sufficient for situation at hand and no more, the model is being accepted world over as precedence to other choices. In an agile environment, solutions evolve through collaborations between self-organizing, cross functional teams. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, continuous improvement, and encourages faster response to change. The technique encourages light weight development environment wherein values are given precedence over processes and especially documentation. The Agile Manifesto imbibes the following values
    1. Individuals and interactions over Processes and tools
    2. Work output over Comprehensive documentation
    3. Customer collaboration over Contract negotiation
    4. Responding to change over Following a plan
The growing foot prints of Agile are self-evident wherein project management mythologies like PRINCE2, PMP have been enhanced to manage projects those use Agile techniques
