All applicants for officer commissions must pass the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT), a standardized exam, in order to be considered for selection as an Air Force officer. To assess verbal, academic, and quantitative aptitudes, composite scores are used.
It is crucial. When it comes to your review, it is not the only deciding factor. The "whole package" idea is emphasized by the Air Force Officer Selection Committee. Having said that, a strong package is made up of strong parts. Use the study resources you have at your disposal, MEMORIZE the subtest time limits (and make an effort to finish the questions in the allotted time), and create a study plan and stick to it.
Your current location will determine where you take the AFOQT. You probably know where and when you'll be taking the AFOQT if you're an ROTC cadet. If not, enquire of a fellow cadet or one of your instructors at your detachment; someone will be able to direct you.
College graduates who are interested in joining the Air Force must make arrangements to take the AFOQT with an Air Force officer recruiter; the test will be administered at the closest Military Entrance Processing (MEP) facility.
You can take this test TWICE.
The AFOQT is divided into 12 subtests.
The AFOQT test questions shouldn't be too hard if you study diligently, but the test itself is very challenging.Hence, you need a good guidance and a proper preparation.
AFOQT stands for the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test. It is an aptitude test conducted for aspiring Air Force Officers. This test selects candidates suitable for positions like, Air Force officers, pilots and navigators.
If you put in the required efforts during AFOQT test preparation, qualifying for this test is not particularly difficult. Nevertheless, the exam is challenging because it has 550 questions spread across 12 sections.
Taking up practice tests is one of the best ways to prepare for the test. Practice Tests will help in evaluating your progress. Thereby, you can analyse your areas of improvement.
Definitely, there are plenty of institutes that provide AFOQT test preparation. However, Henry Harvin is one the best ones, as it conducts multiple practice tests that will train you in time management, besides helping you analyse your mistakes.
You can take two attempts to clear this test. However, you need to take a gap of 150 days before appearing for the second attempt. The test that is attempted most recently is taken into consideration.
