Background
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a commonly used technique that focuses specifically on the automation of repeated business procedures that have involved human activities before. To simplify repetitive business operations, this platform makes use of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is one of the fastest-growing innovations deployed in many markets, including finance and marketing.Â
RPA course is a generic method used to create advanced agents that can automate clerical activities using screen scraping and other technology. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enables organizations with legacy frameworks to simplify their workflows; RPA is actually one of the most common technology fields for Artificial Intelligence.
Robotic Process Automation program is a game-changer for corporations and business organisations as it helps to remove the HR related issues to bear minimum, Robotic Process Automation bots will eliminate/reduce the need for human labour in rules-based operations and reach high levels of ROI (Return on investment). RPA investment has 9-12 months payback period).Â
Scope of RPA
In other words, we can say that it is a technology application that uses enterprise logic and structured input to automate business processes. RPA bots mimic behaviour of employees, such as opening folders, entering data, and automatically copying fields. Through integrations and screen scraping, they communicate with multiple applications, empowering Robotic Process Automation tools to execute acts like a white-collar employee.Â
The software or robot can be taught a workflow with multiple steps and applications, which help in enhancing the overall efficacy of the operations and provide huge flexibility of process as the programmer can add or remove lot of steps as per their operational requirements.
Future of RPA
The automation of robotic processes is not going away in near future. As per the Forrester, in particular, predicts that the RPA industry will hit $2.9 billion by 2021.Â
RPA is used by sectors such as hospitals, engineering, and retail to simplify functions such as filing claims, inventory control, and producing invoices. RPA aims to advance and strengthen the procedures of those that employ it properly, and it will not slow down any time soon. In reality, the stronger the RPA gets, the more it will be eagerly embraced by firms and organisations, generating the need for even more RPA professional.
RPA Developers are those who focus on RPA systems architecture, development, and implementation. Such specialists plan automation tasks for business organizations and are responsible for addressing diverse automation-based problems.
Qualifications required for becoming RPA Developers
In order to become RPA Developer you must have the following qualifications:
- First of all a degree in any computer science course.
- You must have good technical knowledge of automation tools
- You should possess experience in programming languages like C++, C#, and Java.
- Experience working with RPA tools like Blue Prism, UiPath, etc.
- Last but not the least; you need to prepare a good RPA Developer resume to apply for an RPA Developer job interview in a reputed organization.
These are the basic qualifications required for becoming an RPA developer but the above-mentioned qualities are not just limited to it only additional requirements can crop up as and when required by the company.
Building, planning, improving, and implementing RPA applications is the key task of RPA engineers. To set up and evaluate automated systems, they make use of different RPA methods and technologies such as UI Automation, Blue Prism, and much more. They use these methods to evaluate the processes and verify if they can be automated. Later they use this information to design the necessary automation process.
Some roles and responsibilities of an RPA Developer
- Configuring new automation with efficient and easily understandable automation tools
- Designing automation processes as per the operational needs of an organization
- Documenting the automation procedures
- Reviewing the code and the design and also providing expertise in the development, and integration of systems
- Scripting and coding in any RPA tool to resolve automation issues
The above-mentioned roles are not just limited to this only they can change as per the demand and situation.
How to Become an RPA Developer
First, finish your 12th grade and enroll in an advanced course that is provided by several institutions. Make sure you have a foundation in science that covers arithmetic, statistics, computers, and IT. If you have proof of AI and machine learning, it will be worthwhile.
Any programming language, including Python, JavaScript, C, and C++, requires expertise. Consider learning one language during your bachelor’s or diploma course, etc., depending on your interests and the demands of the market. Expand your database and data analytics knowledge.
Skills required to become an RPA developer
RPA programmers are increasingly in demand. The supply and accessibility of these professionals, however, fall short of the standards. Every corporation now uses RPA across all of its businesses, and many of them hire RPA developers to handle the majority of the work. It is more advantageous when it is currently in favor and expanding than when it becomes widespread and a skill that everybody else understands in the long term.
Analysis of data and information to increase effectiveness
Possessing the ability to anticipate situations and find solutions for any unanticipated roadblocks
Communication Skills: The developer must be outgoing, self-assured, inviting, and open to sharing new ideas.
Competencies in business strategy, such as creating, developing, and implementing RPA
Languages for Coding: C++, Java, etc.
Tools –Knowledge of RPA tools like Blue Prism and UiPath.
