If you are stuck with work so much and you can sneak in study hours only in evenings and holidays then you will have to spare around six hours for PMP study each week. This would make 12-14 week preparation time in total.

Step 2- Prepare your study plan

It will be advantageous for you if you can plan six hours of study per week based on your schedule. You can either study for two hours every weekday, or an hour on the weekend. If you are going to keep your weekend filled and will not be able to study try compensating in the weekday. Just make sure you are studying for six hours a week. There might be some days when you won’t be able to handle your work and study to compensate those days with the days you have time. Plan your study plan keeping all of these things in mind.

There are ten knowledge areas in PMBOK. Along with that, there are two additional introductory sections. The length of these sessions will vary from one another but try finishing one session each week.

Step 3- Take notes during your PMP study. 

There will be a lot of concepts in the PMP study. There will also be lots of formulas and hints that one needs to take care of and remember. It will be easy if you print out the handouts before the lecture starts. Your future study will be more effective if you take notes. We recommend you to take notes. 

Especially if it is valuable information, you will have to take notes. These notes will come handy when you have finished the course. You can take all your previous notes and use them when you are revising for your exam. This will provide you with all the important pieces of information that you might need.

When you have finished your PMP study, you will have to go through your answers in the quiz and find out the wrong answer. Those areas show your weaknesses. Finding your weakness ensures that you will be able to correct your mistakes.

This will reduce the risk of making the same mistakes again and it will also work as a revision. It will be a chance for you to make better preparation.

Step 6- Frequently go through your notes

The best way to prepare for clearing your PMP Exam is to go through your notes at regular intervals. Preparation for the PMP Exam is a very long process. You might forget what you have prepared earlier or in the starting of your preparation. It is essential for you to go through your notes at regular intervals. Just so you could remember everything.
